Frisson is a zine showcasing Bangtan in the aesthetic of the rock music genre. Everything from the process of music-making and learning instruments to the experience of performing is fair game for portrayal!

Contributors must be 18+ to apply, though the zine itself will be rated around T (some grittier themes allowed, no nsfw)
application:
> 3-5 art samples you want to highlight
> Portfolio (optional but recommended)
we will be looking for:
Aptitude in form, color, and composition.
> This does not necessarily mean accuracy to real life! We are looking for a wide range of unique and dynamic styles.Ability to create backgrounds.
> Again, according to your art style. Simple backgrounds are perfectly fine! We just want to see how you would fill a page with art, since that will be your task in this zine.Originality.
> Art plagiarism and theft will not be tolerated. Additionally, for copyright reasons, art that heavily replicates photographs or other material owned by someone else will not be allowed.
If selected, you will have to create a digital piece that is A5 size at a minimum of 300dpi, or be able to scan your traditional art at such a resolution.
MERCH ARTIST GUIDELINES
Contributors must be 18+ to apply, though the zine itself will be rated around T (some grittier themes allowed, no nsfw)

we will be looking for:

Additionally, for copyright reasons, art that heavily replicates photographs or other material owned by someone else will not be allowed.This is not a requirement, but we are also specifically looking for a few merch artists who are skilled in object design (e.g. guitars, cassettes), graphic design, or strong standalone linework.
If selected, you will have to create a piece that fits the specifications of your merch item, at a minimum resolution of 300dpi
WRITER GUIDELINES
Contributors must be 18+ to apply, though the zine itself will be rated around T (some grittier themes allowed, no nsfw)
application:
> Up to 3 written works, maximum of 6k total across all submissions; at least one must be a finished work, the others can be excerpts.
> Portfolio (optional)
we will be looking for:
Aptitude in grammar, flow, and structure.
> We are looking for a wide range of writing styles, 3rd person perspective.Ability to depict real-life AUs.
> Your application does NOT have to have a rock band AU piece, but other real-world (non-fantasy) AUs will be helpful to show us how you would write for this zine.
If selected, you will have to write a piece that is 2.5-4k words.
